Join the Community of Practice

The Community Tech community of practice is a network and a platform that brings together individuals, groups, and businesses from across the UK who are interested in community tech. It provides a space for connection, collaboration, learning, and sharing resources.

How can you get involved?

Who is it for?

The community of practice is for anyone who is interested in exploring how technology can benefit their community. You might be an individual, not for profit business, community group or a potential partner organisation, researcher or freelance practitioner. Your community might be place based or be built around a shared experience, interest or need.

We are proactively thinking about and taking action on inclusion: we want to ensure that anyone who wants to get involved in the community of practice can do so. The community of practice is still emerging in form and content, and we will build it together with the community to collectively realise its potential.

Why nurture a community of practice?

Connection is vital. In the community tech space, there are incredible organisations making a difference. Our goal is to bring them together, along with newcomers and the community tech curious, to share diverse perspectives and knowledge for the growth of the community tech movement. We're excited to embark on this journey with you and shape the future of community-driven technology together.
